The service will roll out on select devices in 2016, and will be made available to more than 15 million devices in the coming 12 months. This is part of our team’s global initiative to re-imagine the mobile call experience by powering the dialer with information relevant to calls.

Even though the dialer is a core utility app on smartphones, it has yet to experience the same level of innovation as that of other core apps such as the camera or music player. Truecaller is paving the way for this next-generation dialer with the following integrated features:

  • Search: find over 2B+ contacts & businesses directly from the dialer
  • Caller ID: view identity for outgoing and incoming calls displayed within the dialer
  • Spam detection: protect users from over 200 million spam callers globally
  • Availability: check another user’s availability to receive a call
  • Message: use call logs to initiate texting directly from the dialer

BLU Products is one of the fastest growing mobile manufacturers in the world with more than 30 million BLU devices sold in 40 countries, including the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. In a short time, BLU has established itself as the leading retailer for unlocked Android devices in the Americas by providing high quality phones at affordable prices.

“Our relationship with BLU is another way we aim to help our partners deliver the best experience possible to their users,” said Tom Hsieh, VP of Partnerships and Growth at Truecaller. “This is an incredibly exciting relationship for Truecaller, which now gives us greater presence on popular handsets and deepens our reach into many of today’s fastest growing markets.”
