There have been recent news of a scam called the 'One Ring Scam.' This is effecting cell phone users primarily in the United States.

According to Komo News Seattle,

"The scammers program computers to send blast out thousands of calls to random cell phone numbers, ring once, then disconnect. The objective is to make you curious about a call you missed and return the call right away."

If you call back, then you will be put on hold, or listen to music, which will lead to a charge to your phone bill with a cut towards the scammer.

We recommend to download the Truecaller app for free for your Android or iPhone device to block these numbers, see how many people have marked them as spam, and protect your phone bill from these types of scams.

We have a community of over 40 million members that are actively marking numbers as spam to warn other people.
